The TopLaxRecruits Mid-Atlantic Girls’ Rankings
1. McDonogh School (MD) 3-0
The Eagles took care of Ponte Vedra and Milton to conclude their season opening road trip. They’ll take on St. Mary’s on Wednesday in their IAAM opener.
2. Good Counsel (MD) 3-0
The Falcons opened their season with blowout wins against Severn School and Seton (MD) this week, along with a win against Paul VI yesterday. They’re getting ready for the St. Stephen’s Spring Fling on April 2.
3. Agnes Irwin (PA) 1-0
The Owls started their season with a 19-4 win over Inter-Ac foe Germantown Academy last Thursday. They’ll take on Central Bucks West today, before traveling to take on power Bishop Ireton, Holy Child, and highly-ranked Sts. Stephen’s & Agnes in consecutive days beginning on Monday.
4. West Islip (NY) 0-0
The Lions defeated Suffern, 10-9, to win the NY Class A state championship and return as a leading favorite. Their season begins Monday with four straight games against Hauppauge, Connetquot, Eastport-South Manor, and Ward Melville.
5. Summit (NJ) 0-0
The Hilltoppers were Group 1 state champions and the NJ Tournament of Champion runner-up. Their senior class is loaded with talent entering 2016. Their season begins Wednesday on the road against Morris Catholic.
6. Manhasset (NY) 0-0
The Indians were stunned by Wantagh in the Nassau County Class B championship game after being undefeated all season. Watch for them to be a major contender for county, Long Island and state honors. Their season begins Wednesday on the road against Oceanside.
7. Mt. Sinai (NY) 0-0
The Mustangs won their second NY Class C title in three years and again are a favorite. Their season begins Monday on the road against Comsewogue, followed by Mattituck on Wednesday.
8. Eastport-South Manor (NY) 0-0
The Sharks won the NY Class B championship and return as a leading favorite. Their season beings Monday with a road contest against West Babylon, followed by West Islip on Wednesday.
9. Wantagh (NY) 1-0
The Warriors opened their season with a 17-7 win over West Babylon on Monday. They’ll take on Long Beach next Wednesday.
10. Oak Knoll (NJ) 0-0
The defending Tournament of Champions winner returns enough to challenge for another crown. Look out for their juniors to make a mark for the Royals this year. Their season begins April 2 on the road against Westfield.
