The Haverford School and The Agnes Irwin School will be hosting the 6th Annual Checking for Cancer Lacrosse Invitational on Saturday. The day will feature a full slate of high school varsity boys’ and girls’ games with exciting match-ups. Aside from great competition, the primary purpose and motivation behind the formation of CFC is to promote awareness of prostate, colorectal and testicular cancers.
CFC has raised over $180,000 in just five years, with all event profits earmarked for cancer research and for those organizations in need of special support.

We like to focus on awareness and early detection. By educating the whole family, including sisters and wives and moms (who can also get colorectal cancer), we improve the chance of catching these diseases early.”
