TopLaxRecruits Mid-Atlantic Rankings: @Fords_Lacrosse, @McDonogh girls continue hold on top spots

This week’s TopLaxRecruits.com Mid-Atlantic Rankings:Mid-Atlantic Rankings

Boys

1. Haverford School (PA) 5-0
The Fords finished their sweep of four MIAA teams with an 11-9 comeback win at Gilman, then defeated Conestoga on Monday. They host IMG National on Thursday and St. Anthony’s on Saturday before starting Inter-Ac play.

2. Landon School (MD) 9-0
The Bears went through Timon St. Jude, McCallie School, Bishop O’Connell, and crushed Gilman all this week. They play Gonzaga Thursday at Georgetown University and California’s Coronado Saturday.

3. McDonogh School (MD) 5-1
The Eagles are on a roll after losing to Haverford in the beginning of the season, defeating Culver and Episcopal last week. They host IMG National and Penn Charter this week.

4. Gonzaga (DC) 8-1
After falling to McDonogh, the Purple Eagles escaped Culver and took care of Our Lady-Good Counsel and Cape Henlopen. They face Landon School Thursday at Georgetown University in a huge Mid-Atlantic battle.

5. Massapequa (N.Y.) 3-0
The Chiefs defeated Chaminade in a huge New York battle and went through Hicksville. They host MacArthur-Levittown today and then Garden City on Thursday.

6. Syosset (NY) 5-0
The Braves downed Cold Spring Harbor, Northport, and Farmingdale last week. They have Port Washington and Plainview JFK all this week.

7. Episcopal Academy (PA) 3-1
The Churchmen defeated St. Joe’s Prep and Downingtown East, but held their own in a 10-8 loss to McDonogh. They have Hill School and St. Anthony’s this week before starting Inter-Ac play the following week.

8. St Anthony’s (NY) 0-0
The Friars begin their season against Holy Trinity today, followed by an Inter-Ac teams Episcopal Academy and Haverford.

9. Calvert Hall (MD) 6-1
The Cardinals defeated Calverton and Port Washington last week. They play Wednesday at Conestoga before starting MIAA league play.

10. Boys’ Latin (MD) 6-1
The Lakers have won their past five games by three goals or less, beating Bullis (by 3 goals) and Radnor (by 2 goals) this week. They have Kent Island and South River this week before starting MIAA league play.

Girls

1. McDonogh School (MD) 6-0
The Eagles, went through Bryn Mawr, Roland Park, and Archbishop Spalding this week. They host Maryvale Prep and Garrison Forest this week.

2. Moorestown (N.J.) 3-0
The Quakers started the season with wins against Bishop Eustace, Mountain Lakes, and Rancocas Valley. They play Rumson-Fair Haven and Monclair this week.

3. Manhasset (N.Y.) 2-0
The Indians eased by Syosset last week. They play South Side and Skaneateles this week.

4. St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) 2-0
The Friars defeated Holy Trinity and St. John the Baptist last week. They play Kellenberg this week.

5. Garden City (N.Y.) 3-0
The Trojans defeated Long Beach and Farmingdale last week. They host undefeated Cold Spring Harbor today.

6. Mt. Sinai (N.Y.) 2-0
The Mustangs defeated Babylon and Bayport-Blue Point, the team that ended their 37-game win streak in last year’s Suffolk County finals, last week. They have East Islip Wednesday.

7. Mt. Hebron (MD) 3-0
The Vikings defeated Long Reach, North Harford, and Mount de Sales last week. They have Oakland Mills next Tuesday.

8. Radnor (PA) 3-0
The Raiders defeated Garnet Valley, Milton, and Suffern in very tight games to start the season strong. They have Ridley next Tuesday.

9. Summit (N.J.) 2-0
The Hilltoppers defeated West Morris Central and Monclair this week. They play North Hunterdon today and at Oak Knoll Thursday, which dealt them their only regular-season loss last year.

10. Agnes Irwin (PA) 6-0
The Owls defeated Vero Beach, Gulf Coast, and Ponte Vedra in a sweep of Florida teams. They have Springside on Thursday.
