Syosset High School (NY) 2017 midfielder Katie Igneri has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Brown University and begin the admissions process.

What will you major in/study? Undecided
Academic Honors: Honor Roll every quarter since middle school
Why did you choose Brown? “I chose Brown because I am in love with almost everything about it. I will be getting an Ivy league education while playing competitive lacrosse. I love the coaching staff and the closeness of the team. I also love how Brown is a city school, yet it has the charm and quaintness of the traditional New England university.”
Outlook for 2015 HS season? “Syosset’s Varsity lacrosse team is moving up a conference this year which means we will definitely have to work harder. Although, I still expect big things for our team this season. Last year, we made it to the county finals for the first time in history, I know my teammates and I can make that happen again this upcoming season.”
Thank You: “I would like to thank Dave Kotowski for not only being an amazing coach but for also being my number one fan. I wouldn’t be where I am without him and my super supportive parents. My parents sacrificed so much to give me every opportunity to succeed. I can’t thank them enough for that! Also, a big thanks to my high school coach, Lauren Lomonico. In addition, I can’t forget Dave Ngai and Pete Smith who also helped coach me on my travel team.”
