BROOKLANDVILLE, Ma. – The following is a list of 10 players that shined during clinics Saturday at the Project9 developmental event at St. Paul’s School.
For a full story on the event, click here.
Joe Froccaro, Paul D Schreiber (NY) 2015, Attack, Princeton: Froccaro has solid stick skills and he shoots and scores on the run pretty well.
Tristan Dougherty, Bishop Timon (NY) 2015, Goalie, Hobart: The Bishop Timon goalie is tall and has quick hands. Knows where the ball is coming after it leaves stick to make the save. Dougherty has good Lax I.Q.
Jack Reilly, Conestoga (PA) 2016, Defense, University of Virginia: Reilly has great footwork and you could tell he was excited to go one-on-one with some of the best players in the country.
Luke Desperito, Haverford School (PA) 2016, Midfield, University of Virginia: Desperito is a strong physical middie that can take it to the cage but also get back and play some D Midfield.
Austin Haynes, Moorestown (NJ) 2015, Defense, University of Delaware: Haynes is very quick and is very athletic. During the clearing drills he showed his ability to get the groundball and go up field.
Dustin Buchanan, Central Bucks East (PA), Defense, St. Joseph’s University: Buchanan is another kid that has good Lax I.Q. and makes solid checks. He was soaking up the instruction that coach Tucker Durkin was giving him.
Curtis Zappala, Episcopal Academy (PA), Attack, University of Maryland: Zappala is the real deal. The future Terp gets to the cage with some nifty dodges and his shot is pretty impressive on goal. The goalies were no match.
Terry Lindsay, Georgetown Prep (MD), Attack, Duke University: Lindsay should have a big year for the Little Hoyas. The Georgetown Prep attackman has quick hands and moves the ball well.
Mickey Fitzpatrick, Trinity Pawling (NY) 2015, Attack, Lehigh University: Fitzpatrick looked great in one-on-one drills. Dodges well and cuts to the goal pretty quickly from X. Watch out for him next spring for the Pride.
Griffin Thompson, The Lawrenceville School (NJ) 2016, Goalie, University of Virginia: Thompson looked great in cage during drills with coach Scotty Rodgers shooting on him. The coaches gave him praise on his footwork around the crease.
