From Press Release
Many of the top high school players will compete in the nation’s premier instructional and developmental event at two Baltimore sites Saturday through Monday at Project 9 with the goal of taking their game to the next level.
This year’s crop of players features the most Division 1 commits in the three-year history of Project 9 (see full roster at bottom).
Our training facilities will include the prestigious St. Paul’s School as well as an evening session on Homewood field at Johns Hopkins University. The event will be directed by Paul Rabil and Mark Millon as well as some of the top lacrosse instructors in the world.
Returning for this fall’s event are Scott Rodgers (ND 2007), Tim Mccgeeney (Loyola 1994), Ben Rubeor (Uva 2004), and Stephen Berger (Salisbury 2003). An exciting new addition for 2014 is defensive positional director Tucker Durkin. Durkin, 2014 Team USA and FIL‘s Best Defender, brings the competitive energy and work ethic that represents Project 9’s player edge.
In 2014, the event will add a new concept to the curriculum, inviting the Baltimore non-profit “Charm City Youth Lacrosse” to a practice session and clinic with the players. “Not only will Project 9 work tirelessly to improve, but we’ll also encourage our players to help others that have less,” said co-founder Rabil.

The development team, led by Neil Savage Designs, completed the rebranding and design of Project 9.9 into Project 9 Lacrosse. Listed on the new website are newly appointed All-World coaches, top high school recruits, a branded YouTube channel, and a detailed event itinerary.
Project 9 would like to thank their corporate sponsors for making this event possible, starting with the official equipment and apparel partner of the event, Warrior Sports. All players and coaches will receive custom Project 9 apparel and footwear kits, plus a unique parting gift that Warrior has yet to disclose. OT Sports has provided the detail and innovation for all players to enjoy a unique uniform for the final exhibition – including their nameplate sewn above their number.
World-Class transportation partner, Eyre Bus Transportation, will ensure that all players and coaches ride in style to and from each site, including the Baltimore Plaza Hotel, Johns Hopkins University and St. Paul’s High School facilities in Baltimore, MD. Finally, Lax World retailer and supplier will provide the embroidered detail at the event to showcase their team sales and product offering. Lax World is sponsoring the event awards, recognizing the best player at each position.
About Project 9
Project 9 was co-founded by Paul Rabil and Mark Millon to bring unique instruction to a training event in a professional atmosphere. The top recruits in the country are invited on a first-come first-serve basis, the initial step in identifying the hungriest applicants. Players will compete and train under professional and Hall of Fame coaches who evaluate their technical skill, physical conditioning, distribute high-level playbook, participate in film study, test for improvement, and disclose positional rankings to the world.
