Why did you choose UMass Amherst? “First, I chose UMass for the coaches and players. I really respect and like Coach (Angela) McMahon and her assistants Coaches (Brianne) LoManto and (Brianna) Cronin. The players I met are also really nice…they’re dedicated to winning but like to have fun.
“Secondly, for the lacrosse tradition, UMass won the first women’s National Lacrosse Championship, and has won A-10 conference and went to the NCAAs for six straight years.
“Finally, for its Academics, UMass is a great school with a lot of majors to choose from.”
HS team’s outlook for 2015 season? “Two years ago, John Jay made it the NYS semifinals losing to CBA. Coach Steinberg is in her second year and the team has the talent to return. We are excited for the upcoming season.”
