St. Dominic High (N.Y.) 2017 attackman/midfielder Bradley Baker has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the College of the Holy Cross.
Bradley Baker ledger:
High School: St. Dominic HS, NY
Graduation Year: 2017
Position: Attackman/Midfielder
College Choice: Holy Cross (ConnectLAX college profile)
Club Affiliations: Last 6 years-Tenacious Turtles, Team 91, Smithtown West Varsity Summer. Next Summer-TBD
Major lacrosse honors, All-Star teams, Camps, Showcases: Adrenaline Black Card Showcase, Best of Best Showcase, Moonlight Showcase, Fab Frosh Showcase
Academic honors: Honor Roll for entire Freshman Year
What will you major in/study? Business
Why did you choose the school? “Academics and school reputation were the most important factors. Holy Cross is recognized as one of the best academic schools in the country. I also know they have a strong alumni network that helps with career placements and internships. The winning coach staff brought in made it a comfortable decision for me. Coach (Judd) Lattimore, Coach (Ryan) Klipstein and Coach (Jordan) Nies are people I really look forward to working hard with.”
Thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “This past season with Smithtown West was exciting. We were ranked as high as #3 in the country. Unfortunately we did not finish with a championship. Next season I am so excited to play for the St. Dominic Bayhawks. Last year they won the CHSAA Inter-sectional Championship again. I intend to work hard with my new teammates to keep the momentum going!”
Thank You: “I would like to thank my dad, mom, sister, grandparents, family and friends. They have supported me through all these years of lacrosse and throughout the recruiting process. I would also like to thank all the Turtle, 91 and Smithtown coaches who have given me the skills I have today.”
Other schools considered? Siena, Fairfield, Towson, Binghamton, West Point.
