Riverhead High School junior midfield-defender Amanda Dickerson has made a commitment to play Division II lacrosse at Pace University.

What will you major in/study? Undecided/Math
Why did you choose Pace? “I chose Pace because I really like the location. It is about 2 hours from my house, and I wanted to be fairly close to home. Also, Coach (Michael) Spinner stuck out in my mind every time I spoke with him and I really wanted to play for him. I truly believe Pace is the ideal school for me.”
Outlook for your HS team? “As far as my High School team goes, we are looking to win half of our games this year. This season has had its ups and downs, but we still have plenty of games left and we are looking to finish strong.”
Thank You: “Finally, I would like to thank my Mom and Dad for all of their support and cooperation. Taking me to so many tournaments, practices, and games is not easy, however they made it happen in order for my dream to come true.
“I would also like to thank my High School coach, Ashley King, for all of her hard work and helping me get better, and all of the Yellow Jackets Staff for helping me step up my game every year and guiding me in the right direction as far as college goes. They truly are amazing.”
