Dustin Vitagliano scored the game-winner with 5:44 to play Monday as visiting Trinity-Pawling (N.Y.) stunned host Calvert Hall (MD), 9-6, in non-league boys’ lacrosse.
The Pride (1-1) was coming off a 21-7 opening-day loss to Boys’ Latin (MD), the No. 1 team in the Warrior/TopLaxRecruits North America Rankings. Calvert Hall (6-0) is ranked No. 6.
Trinity-Pawling opened a 3-0 lead in the first quarter but the game was tied three times before Vitagliano broke a 6-6 game. He also scored an insurance tally.

Matrthew Quinn had two goals and an assist and james Fromert scored twice to lead the visiting Buccaneers (1-0) to a big win over the Admirals.
Max Bailey led the Admirals (4-1) with three goals.

The Gators (1-1) earned their first victory of the season at the neutral site field in Clearwater Florida as Ian Walsh made 11 saves and Pete Moeller scored six goals.
Loveland (OH) 18, Walnut Hills (OH) 2
Brian McElveen had seven goals and Brad Clements added five for the Tigers in their opener (via @lovelandlacross).
DeMatha (MD) 13, Poway (CA) 7
The visiting Stags improved to 6-0 as Steve Partlow tallied four goals (via @DemathaLacrosse).
St. Mark’s (DE) 14, Appoquinimink (DE) 4
Five goals by James Magnani, three by Rhett Schweizer and two each by Brandon Papa and Derek Jackson paced the Spartans to a win over the Jaguars. John Dunbar led the Jags with three goals.
