3/21/23 Massapequa, NY – Julia Cronan ‘23 is heading to Alvernia University after playing for the Long Island Jesters club team. The Our Lady of Mercy Academy defender will major in Nursing at the next level. While looking to play at the next level, Cronan wanted to find an institution with great academics and a solid lacrosse program.
Why did you choose this school? – “I chose Alvernia because it had the perfect combination of academics and athletics that I was looking for in a college. Being able to study nursing and play the sport I love with a great team and coach made Alvernia my number one choice.”
Who do you wish to thank for helping you achieve this honor? – “I want to thank my family, for making all those road trips to tournaments and always cheering me on, my club team that I have played with since the 3rd grade that became a family, and my high school for promoting strong female student athletes.”
