High school: Syosset High School, Long Island, N.Y.

Year of graduation:
Class of 2016

Position: Attack

College Choice: Penn State

Club Affiliation: Team 91 2016

Major Lacrosse Honors, camps, tournaments:
25 goals as a freshman on Varsity at Syosset HS; Participated in the Long Island Rising Sophomore Showcase, Crabfeast, NSCLA National Championship, LI LAXFEST All Star, Maverik Showtime, NXT Summer Showcase, Hofstra Blue and Gold Classic.

Why did you choose Penn State?
“I chose Penn State for a number of reasons. I was interested in attending a big university with a great athletic atmosphere, also with an excellent academic reputation. My goal is to be accepted in PSU’s Smeal College of Business, and pursue a career in that field. Coaches Tambroni, Toner, and Doctor made me feel right at home, and were great explaining all the opportunities for a student, and what their goals are for Penn State Lacrosse. I felt very comfortable with their commitment to the student-athlete, and what they expect from me. They are building something special, and I want to be a part of it. Playing Division 1 lacrosse has always been a dream of mine, and I’m looking forward to working hard the next few years to make that a reality.”

Looking back at 2013 and ahead to 2014:
“We ended our HS season this spring with a disappointing loss in the County semifinals. Our goal at Syosset every year is to win the Nassau County A championships, and we will work hard to get back there. We have a really strong group of returning players at every position, and I’m looking forward to working on my game to help contribute to the team any way I can.”

Thank You:
“I would like to thank my high school coach, John Calabria, for helping me with this process, and all the Syosset coaches for their help and guidance. I would also like to thank all of my coaches at Team 91 Lacrosse, including Brian Spallina, Brad Weinman, Tom Martello, and Seth Tierney. Lastly, I’d like to thank my family for all of their support and always giving me encouragement to work hard at my grades and my lacrosse game.”

Other schools considered: Maryland, Ohio State, Lehigh, Denver, Hofstra
