1. McDonogh School (MD) 21-0
The Eagles won their seventh straight IAAM A conference title in 2015 and completed a sixth straight undefeated season while winning their 133rd straight game – and coach Chris Robinson admitted he has good returning talent and a strong underclass. The Eagles have been the No. 1 team in these rankings since their inception three years ago.

2. Good Counsel (MD) 19-2
The Falcons claimed the DC WCAC title in 2015 and return plenty of talent.

3. St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (VA) 28-1
The Saints fell to Bishop Ireton 12-10 in the Virginia Independent State title game last year with a young team beset by injuries. Venerable coach Kathy Jenkins has a veteran team.

4. Agnes Irwin (PA) 23-1
The Owls claimed the Inter-Ac League and PA Independent school titles and have a strong senior class. They play a strong out-of-state schedule that includes Good Counsel, St. Stephen’s, Bishop Ireton, Lincoln-Sudbury and Moorestown.

5. West Islip (NY) 19-3
The Lions defeated Suffern, 10-9, to win the NY Class A state championship and return as a leading favorite.

6. Summit (N.J.) 20-5
The Hilltoppers were Group 1 state champions and the NJ Tournament of Champion runner-up; their senior class is loaded.

7. Manhasset (N.Y.) 18-1
The Indians were stunned by Wantagh in the Nassau County Class B championship game after being undefeated all season. Watch for them to be a major contender for county, Long Island and state honors.

8. Mt. Sinai (N.Y.) 20-1
The Mustangs won their second NY Class C title in three years and again are a favorite.

9. Eastport-South Manor (NY) 19-3
The Sharks won the NY Class B championship and return as a leading favorite.

10. Wantagh (N.Y.) 16-2
The Warriors fell to Eastport-South Manor, 11-10, in a heartbreaking Long Island Class B final and will again be a force.

11. Ridgewood (N.J.) 23-1
The Maroons fell to Summit, 6-5, in the Tournament of Champions semifinals after going undefeated all season and winning the Group 4 title. They will again be a state contender.

12. Garden City (N.Y.) 16-2
The Trojans fell to Wantagh, 8-7, in the Nassau County Class B semifinals and should again contend in the county and beyond.

13. Manchester Valley (MD) 19-0
The Mavericks repeated as Maryland Public 2A/1A state champions.

14. Bishop Ireton (VA) 20-3
The Cardinals won the Virginia Independent state championship, and graduated a standout senior class. Still, they are reloading and should contend again for state honors.

15. Milton (GA) 16-4
The Eagles claimed their sixth straight 6A state title and 10th in 11 years – they enter the year as a prohibitive state favorite.

16. Notre Dame Prep (MD) 6-10
The Blazers are loaded with commits in the junior and sophomore classes and look to emerge as a major contender in the IAAM A Conference.

17. Moorestown (NJ) 20-4
The Quakers had their 3-year win streak snapped, but did win their fifth straight Group 3 state crown and will contend for the TOC title.

18. Roland Park (MD) 12-6
The Reds dropped a heartbreaking 15-14 decision to McDonogh in the IAAM “A” Conference final and should again contend for the title.

19. St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) 14-4
The Friars will again be the favorite to win the CHSAA.

20. Darien (CT) 20-3
The Blue Wave won the the Connecticut Class L state title and return as a leading favorite

Hebron (MD) 13-2; New Canaan (CT) 19-4; Oak Knoll (N.J.) 23-2; Severn School (MD) 11-7; Skaneateles (N.Y.) 18-4; Smithtown West (NY) 13-4; Stephen Decatur (MD) 17-1; Suffern (NY) 17-6; West Genesee (NY) 16-4; Westwood (MA) 24-1.
