Pierson (N.Y.) 2016 midfielder Jack Schleicher has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Furman University.

What will you major in/study? Business/Finance
Why did you choose school? “I really loved Furman and Coach (Richie) Meade at my visit this summer. I believe I will thrive under Coach Meade’s style of coaching and see the program growing into a new powerhouse. The academics at Furman are top notch and the business department has a stellar reputation with an attractive alumni presence in the business world. The campus and the city of Greenville are beautiful, friendly and very inviting. The students and players seem very happy at Furman. I really believe I will fit in at Furman and see myself making a great impact as a student and player.”
Thoughts on your HS team’s 2016 season? “Playing at our feeder school Easthampton has had its challenges but I feel confident that this upcoming season will be one of our best. We have a fair number of senior impact players with the remainder of the team on the younger side. My goal this year is to be an inspiring captain, helping the younger players find their place on the field as well being one of the top 10 leading scorers in the county.”
